Radio Park reclaims an 85-year-old roof above Radio City Music Hall as a vibrant half- acre garden for Rockefeller Center’s office community. Designed by HMWhite, the landscape honors the site’s historic rooftop garden legacy while responding to today’s call for restorative, outdoor workplace experiences.

Three distinct garden typologies—a Birch Forest, Cherry Grove, and Hornbeam-hedged belvedere—structure the rooftop into a progression of shaded paths, sunny lawns, and seasonal gathering spaces. A sculpted stone terrace offers skyline views while concealing mechanical infrastructure below.

Biophilic and sustainable, the design integrates FSC-certified materials, stormwater strategies, and native plantings that enhance biodiversity and microclimatic comfort. Accessible from multiple entry points, Radio Park is more than a rooftop—it is a quiet refuge, a social catalyst, and a modern interpretation of Rockefeller Center’s enduring relationship between architecture, landscape, and civic identity.
