With over 25 years of experience, Sam Lawrence has distinguished himself as an exemplary leader within the building and design community. Mr. Lawrence is renowned for his successful multi-disciplinary collaborations on countless new and rehabilitated urban public and private landscape projects. Each of his projects exhibits his application of ecological engineering best practices and innovative building technologies. His work has consistently demonstrated his ability to reconcile clients’ ambitions with project economics and the dynamic workings of our natural systems.

His LEED certified credentials and his skills at synthesizing the needs of a wide range of local ecologies within a set of complex project circumstances is immeasurable in fulfilling the challenges of creating livable and productive human settlements. Whether he is confronted with a small garden or hundreds of acres of development, Mr. Lawrence brings his unyielding passion and sensitivity toward design of the land to create memorable and meaningful landscapes that have social, cultural, and economic sustainability.

Sam has served as an expert panelist for a number of NYC Office Management and Budget value engineering reviews for such public infrastructure projects as The Highline and East River Park. He frequently is invited as a visiting design critic for the architecture and urban design programs at New Jersey Institute of Technology and City College of New York.
