HM White has been retained to plan and design an open space network for a proposed multi-unit residential development in Mohali, set within the township of Chandigarh, India. Continuing their collaboration with the international architectural firm, Studio u + a, HM White is developing a comprehensive landscape design that reconciles the buildings’ demanding servicing needs while creating a livable, humane and memorable public space. Set over a parking structure, the community landscape takes on a variety of distinct but complimentary landscape characters that are emerge from both the challenges and the opportunities of the Chandigarh’s unique subtropical climate.
